WASTE MANAGEMENT

Wastes generated during the course of Hunt Energy operations consist of commonly generated waste streams found in oil and gas extraction as well as crude and LNG refining operations.

Identifying and separating waste material types (i.e. domestic, non-hazardous, recycling, etc.) at the source
Transporting and disposing of waste according to applicable regulations
Assessing and approving contractor teams that oversee the waste management process
Auditing and approving disposal facilities in each operational area prior to use
Ensuring compliance with existing regulatory requirement to minimize risk associated with long term waste management
Developing waste management efficiencies, such as our Saltwater Disposal Facility Design

As a result of office closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, general office waste at Hunt Headquarters decreased by 51%.

In 2020, we reduced drilling and completion activities in North America resulting in a significant decrease of non-hazardous waste production.
