Our global security strategy ensures the integrity of our operations by assessing, designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, compliant, and resilient security programs in accordance with the voluntary principles on security and human rights.
As part of our Security Risk Management program, Hunt’s Emergency and Preparedness Plan enables the early identification and management of possible security risks and associated emergency events. The methodical approach provides the governance structures, processes, resources, training, and performance monitoring methodologies needed to prevent, prepare, and respond to all possible emergency situations.

Our security teams have Security Industry board-level qualifications from American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS Certified Protection Professional, Professional Certified Investigator, Physical Security Professional) and International Security Management Institute (ISMI Certified Security Management Professional).
Principles of Security and Human Rights
The Principles of Security and Human Rights complement the United Nations directives around human rights. These voluntary principles give us a process to analyze and assess how our interactions with government and private security forces can affect the human rights of communities in the areas where we operate.
Each year, the Global Security Group convenes for a training workshop. In 2023, the primary focus was business continuity across the organization, to further ensure consistency across business impact analysis studies, business continuity planning, exercising and testing. While adhering to the organization’s minimum business continuity standard is crucial, the underlying theme is to build resilience within our operations, minimizing the frequency and impact of disruptions by designing our business processes appropriately.
Cyber Security
The last decade has seen a tremendous shift in the technology landscape. Through technologies such as cloud and mobile, Hunt has optimized the environment to drive significant efficiencies while managing new risks in the area of Cybersecurity.
As a critical focus for Hunt, the Cybersecurity team works closely with industry professionals, government agencies, and peers in the oil and gas industry through the American Petroleum Institute and Oil and Gas Information Sharing & Analysis Center (API and ONG-ISAC). These invaluable partnerships provide tremendous insight and understanding of the risks posed by the current and emerging technologies as well as changing regulatory practices.
Based on internationally recognized frameworks, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technologies’ (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, and ISO frameworks on Security and Privacy, Hunt’s comprehensive cybersecurity program is globally aligned across all Hunt entities and locations to maximize our ability to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats. The team continually reviews and enhances policies, processes, and technologies to better detect, protect, and remediate cyber threats of all kinds. This includes a comprehensive security awareness training program to educate and empower all employees in the fight against cybercrime.
