Innovation is in the Hunt DNA. It shows in the way we’ve diversified into other industries and how we’ve accomplished things that historically people have thought were not possible.  

People, Excellence, and Creativity are the pillars that have helped propel and sustain Hunt as a platform of innovation for decades, and those values will continue to serve as the foundations of our future activities over the next generation of energy creation and development. 

GREEN SQUARED

In 2022 our Chief Innovation Officer initiated an Innovation Committee to focus on green technologies called Green Squared. 

The committee comprises both innovation and sustainability experts from across the company with the aim to share experiences, research, and potential projects, to ensure the Company benefits. The term “Green Squared” is taken from the aim of the committee: to identify ideas that are Green Squared, “green” as in good for the environment and “green” as in profitable for the Company, seeking innovative projects that are environmentally and economically sustainable.  

The committee meets quarterly to review potential projects, evaluate progress on existing projects, and review current trends to identify the impacts on Hunt and how we can respond or leverage our position to best implement new green projects. 

SPOTLIGHT

Peru has established an Innovation Management System looking at top-down and bottom-up approaches to innovation that focuses on identifying changes that have a positive impact. These can be changes in processes, procedures, technology, and equipment within the organization. The innovation program in Peru culminated with an Innovation Day of which 45% of employees engaged by entering more than 300 ideas into an “innovation idea funnel” which led to 100 successful ideas that have been implemented or are being pursued by the Company.
